What counts as an electrical emergency?
Call us straight away if any of these are happening:
- Burning smell from a switchboard, power point, or light fitting
- Smoke or sparks from anywhere electrical
- Power partially out — some circuits working, others dead
- Safety switch repeatedly tripping and not resetting
- Hot or discoloured switches, power points, or switchboard parts
- Exposed wiring after storm damage or accident
- Hot water gone cold and no power to the unit
What can usually wait until the next day
A single power point that has stopped working but is not smoking. A single light not coming on. A flickering downlight. A safety switch that tripped once and reset cleanly. These are still worth booking — they often point to something developing — but they do not need a same-night trip out.

Depends on where you are and what we are on. We tell you a realistic window when you call, not a fake-fast number. Most of the Bay we can get to inside the day. Pialba, Urangan, Point Vernon and Eli Waters are usually quickest.
No call-out fee for advice over the phone. If we come out and quote, the quote is included. If you go ahead with the work we do not charge for the visit separately. If we attend and you decide not to proceed, we charge a small attendance fee — we will tell you what it is before you say yes.
For genuine emergencies — anything in the “call us straight away” list above — yes. Call the number and we will work out the response. For everything else, our regular hours are weekdays during the day.
Yes. Even in an emergency, we tell you what the fix will cost before we start. Exception: if there is an active fire, smoke, or shock risk, we make it safe first and quote the full fix immediately after.
Most likely a tripped safety switch or a failed neutral connection. Check your switchboard first — if a switch is down, try once to reset it. If it trips again, leave it off, do not keep resetting it, and call. If you cannot find the switchboard or nothing is obviously tripped, also call — partial power loss can indicate something serious upstream.
